The new visa bulletin for October has been released and posted on Department of State website. Here at JCS Immigration Law Office, our Los Angeles immigration lawyers have been watching closely the F2A category because we have been receiving a lot of inquiries on filing for spouse of green card holder clients. Unfortunately, the visa bulletin for October shows a slight retrogression in F2A category, which means that immigrant visa petition for all permanent resident spouses should be filed in September. Our Los Angeles immigration law office has sent out a reminder to permanent resident clients who are interested in sponsoring their spouse for permanent resident status that they should file their case in September.
The biggest change in the October bulletin in comparison to the August and September bulletin is that Family-Preference category F2A (Spouses and Children of Lawful Permanent Residents) is no longer listed as current and holds new dates for each over-subscribed country starting with September 2013.
