Our Los Angeles immigration lawyers would like to remind everyone that the newly revised Form N-400, Application for Naturalization (U.S. Citizenship) will go into effect on May 5, 2014. Once in effect, USCIS will not accept older versions of the form, even the most recent one dated 9/13/2013. USCIS will reject and send back these applications with the older version of Form N-400 after Sunday May 4, 2014.
The newly revised Form N-400 is longer than the previous version and has an improved user-friendly look and clearer instructions and improved barcode technology aimed to improve efficiency and data accuracy, resulting in fewer rejected applications.
Please note that the eligibility requirements for Naturalization/U.S. Citizenship have not changed. If you have questions or need help with your U.S. Naturalization application, contact our immigration attorney in Los Angeles now for a FREE consultation.
