The Department of State has just released the Visa Bulletin for June 2014 to our immigration lawyers in Los Angeles. We are unhappy to see that unfortunately the F2A category (for family-sponsored preference, spouses and children of Permanent Residents) has retrogressed due to the heavy demand. The previous Priority Date for the F2A visa category was September 2013 and it has now jumped back to May 2012.
Also, an unexpected and dramatic increase in the heavy demand in the employment-based third and “other worker” categories have also resulted in a retrogression in those categories.
The EB-3 China category retrogressed dramatically, from October 1, 2012 to October 1, 2006. And the “other worker” China category retrogressed from October 1, 2012 to January 1, 2003.
If you have questions about when your visa will be available or what these priority dates mean, contact our experienced U.S. immigration attorney now.
