We are excited to announce that the Department of Homeland Security will begin implementing a new parole program, starting in early 2015, for eligible Haitian nationals. The Haitian Family Reunification Parole (HFRP) Program will expedite the reunification for certain eligible Haitian family members of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents. This program is designed to promote safe, legal and orderly migration from Haiti to the United States.
Under this new program, USCIS will offer certain eligible Haitian beneficiaries of already approved family-based immigrant petitions, who are currently living in Haiti, an opportunity to come to the United States for up to approximately two years before the priority dates of their immigrant visas become current.
