If you have an adjustment of status case and you missed your appointment, you need to contact USCIS very soon. We recommend that you have experienced legal counsel to ensure that you have the best possible representation and the best possible outcome. “No show” cases are held for two weeks. During this time, you may request to reschedule your appointment. A request for rescheduling is a formal process and must be properly submitted. If no request for rescheduling is received by USCIS, then the case is denied for a lack of prosecution. After a case is denied, a Notice to Appear may be issued. This is something every immigrant will want to avoid. Read more about Deportation here.
