CBP Announces Use of Body-Worn Cameras

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced their decision to expend CBP’s camera review program, including the integration of new body-worn camera testing into law enforcement operations such as checkpoints, vessel boarding and interdictions, training academics and outbound operations at U.S. Ports of Entry, as well as mobile camera options in vehicles.

Our Los Angeles immigration lawyers are happy to hear of the expansion of this program as it continues CBP’s latest emphasis on transparency and accountability and we hope it greatly reduces the chances of brutality and inhumane treatment of immigrants.
