JCS Immigration and Visa Law Office is located in Los Angeles, California but we serve clients across the United States and around the world. When an applicant for an immigrant visa is located outside of the United States, they must wait until a visa number is available from the Department of State before entering the United States. Each month the Department of State issues a Visa Bulletin that shows available numbers and processing times for immigrant visas.
The Department of State released the Visa Bulletin for March 2014. The biggest difference in this release, is that the F-2A (spouses and children of LPR) category retrogressed from the previous month’s September 1, 2013 date to April 15, 2012 due to the continued heavy demand. Other than this, all other F-2A changeability countries have not moved.
There was a slight movement forward in the employment-based second and third categories. The Visa Bulletin also includes projected visa availability for the coming months for both family and employment-based categories.
